Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
In just under 4 weeks I will be taking on one of my hardest challenges (aside from being Mum to Finn) yet. Back in February I signed up to the Ben Nevis Braveheart Triathlon, mainly because I wanted something to work towards and secondly when I described the event, Simon questioned whether I was tough enough. Game on, I thought. The event involves a 1.2mile sea loch swim where water temperatures can be as cold as 11degrees, there can be currents to contend with and the possibility of jellyfish stings. Once we get off the bike, we are into a 56mile road cycle, although not too hilly, if it’s a windy day it could be very hard work. Once those two are complete, probably 4 hours in, we have to run up and down the mountain, but not just any mountain, the highest mountain in the UK. Simples, right?! One thing that has kept me focused through the tough training sessions is the fact that I am doing this to raise money once again for Down’s Syndrome Scotland. Since setting up Mums on the Run, I have had the pleasure of meeting and getting to know Claire and her wee boy Caleb. The charity help children like Caleb to reach their full potential which I think is so important. The total distance I will cover on the day is 70.3miles so my aim is to raise £703 and would be extremely grateful if you were able to help me achieve this. This is going to be no easy feat and your support would be greatly appreciated.
