Story
On the 15th September 2013 I will be taking part in the Bupa Great North Run alongside 56,000 other runners. Matt Clark was a wonderful young man who I am proud to have had the honour to call my friend. In 2011, Matt sadly passed away due to a cancerous brain tumour at the young age of just 19. As many of you know, many of Matt's friends and family gather together annually to celebrate and remember Matt’s life and to raise money and awareness for Teenage Cancer Trust. These annual events have included Silly Hat and Superhero themed runs, however this year I have decided to step up the challenge and take part in the Bupa Great North Run. This event is a 13.1 mile half marathon taking place between Newcastle city centre and South Shields. I intend to do my utmost to raise as much money as I can in Matt’s memory and hope many of you who do take the time to read this will dig deep and donate whatever you can - even if it is the loose change you’ve lost down the back of the sofa!!
Teenage Cancer Trust is an amazing charity that helps youngsters and their family throughout their treatment and beyond. Every penny we raise will go to them.
Thank-you.
