I am running London landmarks half marathon on 23rd May in aid of hme-the new generation . As most of you know my partner Lee our 11 yr old daughter, seren ,and 4yr old daughter ,beau , all have a rare bone condition called hereditary multiple exostosis (hme). This condition is very painful and debilitating resulting in multiple operations throughout their lives. Hme causes bones to grow extra bony bumps that get in the way of growing and nerves ,tendons , muscles etc can get caught on them . It also causes bones to bow and be deformed.  Seren has already had 7 operations 11 bumps removed and metal put in her knee to straighten her leg . She will need many many more operations unfortunately.  Beau is due her first operation anytime now on her ankle. 

Hme-the new generation is the only UK charity for this condition.  They offer amazing support to people with hme, many of whom have never actually met anyone with hme . 2 yrs ago they had their first meeting where I met people outside my family with the condition.  Without the support of this charity I dont know where I would be right now . Life is a struggle with hme but they make it so much easier knowing there is someone to talk to that is going through the same thing. Me and seren have met lifelong friends that we regularly meet up with and support each other . 

These are tricky times right now and charities really struggle so if you could find it in your heart to donate we would really appreciate it ,also me running a half marathon is very daunting considering a year ago I hated running!!!!
