I chose to support British-Ukrainian aid because I, like many others, have been affected by watching the awful events occurring in Ukraine on the news. Although 5k a day doesn’t seem like much, as someone who struggles with running and committing to things I believe this is a good challenge for me to achieve for such an important cause.

As the Russian military invasion of Ukraine has unfolded, so too has a humanitarian crisis that has forced civilians to flee their homes or take refuge in bomb shelters and subway stations throughout the country. The Ukrainian hospitals and doctors are in urgent need of special medical aid and supplies which will help them to treat the increased number of wounded and injured during the war in Ukraine. The fund raised will be spent to purchase the medical supplies here in the UK. The medical aid will be sent directly to the hospitals in Ukraine.
