Story

After many 10k's and half-marathons, we have bitten the bullet and signed up for the London Marathon 2017, which will be our first ever road marathon! This will mean many dark winter evenings of running in soggy puddles and blustery winds to ensure we finish!

Taking on the challenge of the marathon also allows us to raise money for the London Children’s Ballet (LCB), a charity that gives young talented dancers the chance to perform in a professional ballet production, for free. LCB also tours ballets beyond the West End with four touring companies performing ballets in hospices, special needs schools, care homes for the elderly and in the most challenged communities.

These are difficult times for arts organisations and funding is scarce. Ballet is often perceived as elitist but LCB is bringing ballet to a whole new audience. To continue their work, LCB relies on donations and support from the general public.

Please sponsor us if you are able to - it would be ABSOLUTELY fantastic to hit the £1k mark, and any donation would help LCB keep the amazing experience and wonderful opportunity open to so many dancers and bring the pleasure of ballet to the widest audience possible. All sponsors are invited to make suggestions as to our attire, which will be given full and due consideration.

Many thanks and wish us luck!

Jess and Clinton
