On Saturday 7th August, Maisy and I will be swimming approximately one mile across the Camel Estuary from Padstow to Rock to raise money for Marie Curie - having both lost people close to us from cancer this is a charity close to our hearts. We are both regular pool swimmers but having done our first open water training swim a few weeks ago we have realised swimming a mile in open water is very different to our usual lengths at the lido and we have a lot of training to do! The promise of a free pasty if we make it to Rock in under an hour will hopefully be the motivation we need to just keep swimming.. any donations to raise money for this wonderful cause will be very gratefully received!
