Hello Guys!

I have decided to run the Derby10k and raise money for a local gym called SplashFit. I am currently training here and when I am not at work, home or out running around Derby I am here boxing. Every punch bag I punch, every mat I train on has come from funding. 

SplashFit is a charity funded gym and is not just a place to get fit. They offer a huge amount of their time to train, support and help disadvantage people. They have a number of facilities such as swimming pool, gym and cardio room, which will not be there if it was not for sponsors and local funding. 

They run regular classes for pupils from Derby College, who are mentally and physically disabled, and they could possibly offer a lot more if they had more funding. I do not know a gym who offers this to our local community. So please help your local gym be bigger and better!

They have just built a bloody classroom in the gym to help support young children in getting a better education, apprenticeships and dong a course in sport and business!

Especially with this weather I need some encouragement to beat my goals of running my first 10k race in under 55 minutes. So whether it is a £1 or £5, it will probably give a young disabled child greater opportunity and me more determination to run in the rainy seasons.
