Story

I am doing this swim in memory of my grandpa and to raise money for Roy Castle Lung Cancer Foundation. My grandpa lost his battle with lung cancer 4 years ago. He was an amazing man and loved by all. Lung cancer should not have taken him from us so early.

This year I am swimming 1 mile in my wetsuit in the Thames, then 1 mile just skins (no wetsuit). Even though I have done lots of swimming in the past I have never done an event quite like this! I would love to raise £1000 for Roy Castle Lung Cancer Foundation. Every penny counts!! 

About the charity

We are the only UK lung cancer charity dedicated to helping everyone affected by the disease. We fund essential research and provide much needed support, information and advice. We raise awareness and challenge the misconceptions of lung cancer. We do all this so those affected can expect better.
