Hello, My name is Jessie & I’m running the London Marathon. This is a sentence I never thought I would say. I could barely run 10 minutes at the start of this process and this weekend I ran 10 miles. I cannot believe it!
I am running the marathon in memory of my grandad Robin. He was taken away far too soon which meant I never got to meet the wonderful man he was. He was cared for by the amazing nurses at Isabel Hospice. Isabel Hospice is a registered charity which provides free palliative care and support for patients and their families living with cancer and other life-limiting illnesses such as MND, end stage renal conditions, end stage heart conditions, respiratory conditions or other neurological conditions, throughout eastern Hertfordshire.
Training has been hard but I’m very quick to remember why I’m doing this & how important it is to raise as much money as possible for this charity.
So please donate anything you possibly can. Thank you all so much for taking the time to read my page. Hopefully I will see a few familiar faces at the end of the race. I will be the very red, sweaty mess holding a large G&T!
