On the 29th September I will be running the Half Marathon in support of Equation. For the past year I have been lucky enough to volunteer for this great charity and have seen first hand the brilliant work they do. All donations big or small are very welcomingly received to allow Equation to continue to support those who need their help. 

Equation work against domestic abuse and gender inequality in our community of Nottingham and Nottinghamshire. We do this by educating children and young people in schools to understand their right to healthy relationships and equally their responsibility to encourage relationships that are based on respect and equality. We train workers in our community, equipping them with the tools to recognise and respond to domestic abuse and intervene early. We deliver the only Men's domestic abuse service in Nottingham, supporting men who are experiencing domestic abuse and we campaign to raise awareness of the issue and support the safety needs of survivors.We take a whole community approach with our pioneering work so that we can help reduce the harm caused by domestic abuse and violence and equip people with the tools to live free from abuse.
