Story
When the first lockdown hit I decided that if there was ever a time to grow out my hair for someone else, now was it.
...2 and a bit years later....it's time to chop
As someone who has been blessed with, well, what I think of as 'good hair', I wanted to pass this on to someone who wants to feel like themselves again. If I can bring some confidence to a child that is going through what could be considered the hardest times in their life, that would be everything. Remembering when my own friends and family members have gone through cancer treatment, the transition from having hair to wearing wigs was always difficult, but a good wig can mean everything. Confidence is such an important part of childhood development...let's help with that.
I know times are hard, but if you have anything spare to donate it will be greatly appreciated. It costs around £550 to make a real hair wig and giving this gift can really give something special to a sick child
I'll be chopping on July 15th!
When a child loses their hair to cancer or another condition, we'll be there with a free, real hair wig to help restore their confidence and identity. We won't stop until the research that we fund ends childhood cancer forever.
