Going the Olympic distance · 8 April 2019

Today with more than 10,000 members, the Swimming Teachers’ Association (STA) is the world’s largest independent swimming teaching and lifesaving charity. Our mission is to educate people with vital lifesaving and swimming techniques, in the aim to reduce the number of needless deaths every year.

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

My name is Kyren and I am 7 years old, I was selected late last year to be a water safety ambassador for STA. as an ambassador  I am aiming to raise as much money as I can to help contribute to their amazing work in reducing the amount of deaths in the UK  caused by drowning.

To help raise money I will be going the Olympic distance  in a triathlon challenge swimming 1 mile, running 6 miles and cycling 26 miles across 2 weeks over the Easter half term.

All the money raised will go towards educating adults and children in lifesaving and water safety skills.

In 2015, 321 people lost their lives in accidental drownings across the UK. Through educating adults and children, we can aim to reduce the amount of deaths and create a wider awareness around the potential dangers of water.
