This page is set up with love from the friends and family of Stephen Jones.

Having suddenly left us at the age of 54 years, Stephen is now at peace.

Stephen was a a loving husband, a wonderful and caring dad, a devoted son and brother.

His years were spent wisely, driven by strong values of family, respect and decency, balanced with fun, laughter and encouragement, with all who crossed his path. Stephen had been a police officer for most of his life, then following his full service into retirement, he continued his caring and guiding nature, by training others to deliver specialist care to those in need.

Stephen recently purchased a 2017 calendar from Penrith Mountain Rescue, in support of their fundraising, spending a short time chatting to the team at Reghead. Being a climber himself, he appreciated the value and danger that these teams face saving others and wanted to support their cause.
Climbing, ice climbing and hillwalking were a passion of Stephens and raising money for mountain rescue would have been his absolute choice.

At Stephens funeral, family flowers only were requested, but family, friends, neighbours and work colleagues or anyone who knew him, have been invited to support this charity in Stephens name.
