It's that time of year again where I set myself a challenge (or this year, two!) to raise money for Hive Project's chosen charity. Our charity this year is Manchester Youth Zone who offer young people aged 6-19 (up to 25 for those with additional needs) somewhere to go, something to do and someone to talk to. MYZ provides a safe, accessible and affordable place where young people can get support and discover a world of possibilities, to help level the playing field for young people, in one of the most deprived areas of England, to make their next move. Your donation will help to keep the center running, including meals for the young visitors, educational programmes and lessons for life skills such as cooking.

Challenge 1: On the 17th of June I will be completing my first ever triathlon at Cholmondeley Castle...800m swim, followed by 44km bike and 8km run. I have 100% underestimated the challenge in this...while I can comfortably (kinda) do all three elements separately putting them together is making me reevaluate my choice of distance! 

Challenge 2: The fun one...in September I will be taking on a 15km Tough Mudder with some of my Hive colleagues. As a team we will face 30 demanding obstacles over the distance of the run.
