Big Fun Run Glasgow 2019 · 27 July 2019 ·

The Lola Commons Fund for SiMBA are fundraising with the help of others to refurbish the Eildon Family Room at the Borders General, Melrose. We are working closely with the team at the BGH to meet their specific needs for the families in their care.

Story

As many of you know, our daughter Evie was stillborn at 36 weeks. On the 27th of July it would have been her 4th birthday so to celebrate this for her we are all going to take on the Glasgow Big Fun Run. We hope to raise some money for SiMBA as the support they have given us means so much. Nothing will ever be able to replace Evie but the memories that SiMBA enabled us to make with her and the precious memory box they gave us make such a difference in such a horrible time. Emily and Cameron know all about their big sister and are excited to do this for her! We would really appreciate any donation you can manage for this amazing charity and in memory of our beautiful girl. Thank you!

SiMBA, responds to the needs of those affected by the loss of a baby. We do this by donating our precious Memory Boxes to maternity and neonatal units so they can be gifted to parents at the time of the loss of their baby. The Memory Boxes are used to capture the most precious memories, time together, for information our website https://www.simbacharity.org.uk The other services SiMBA provide are support groups, online support, events that bring families together to honour their baby; educational study days to support healthcare professionals.
