Story
Myself and Paddy will be virtually walking 150km to Holles Street and back this April.
On the 22nd April last year, our little girl Róisín was delivered 10 weeks early at 2 lbs 9oz. The staff that cared for her in the NICU in Holles Street were just amazing and we will be eternally grateful for everything they did for Róisín and us.
We would like to give back to Holles Street and also to a charity called Hugh's House. Hugh's House accommodate parents of children. They provide somewhere to stay, to cook in and to clean clothes free if charge. They housed myself and Paddy in Dublin while Róisín was in hospital. This house meant that we could be by Róisín's side all the time and it was invaluable that I didn't have to travel after a C section.
Any donations would be greatly appreciated for these charities and would go to the following:
- Help Hugh's House provide short and long term accommodation to parents of children in hospital in Dublin.
- Help make NMH one of the worlds most advanced hospitals for preemies, and a national referral centre for complicated pregnancies and for seriously ill babies.
- Help fund research to find even better ways to help premature babies.
- Help provide assistance to mums, support families and keep all mothers and babies safe and comfortable. It's especially important to those who are at great risk. You are helping babies to arrive, survive and thrive
Thank you so much,
Jessica, Paddy and Róisín O'Reilly
