Today's my 19th birthday, and the first birthday I’ve had since my best friend, Ruby, died this May. She was diagnosed with lymphoma in Summer 2019 and, following almost a year of intensive chemo and later a stem-cell transplant, she was told her cancer had relapsed as a very aggressive T-cell leukaemia that couldn’t be cured.

Ruby and I always enjoyed going way overboard with making/buying each other birthday presents, and we promised each other that, since she couldn’t celebrate the way she wanted to for our 18th birthdays, we would do our 19ths like they were our 18ths, and have huge celebrations.

This fundraiser is in honour of that promise, to raise funds for Ruby's Special Named Fund at CCLG which is being put towards research into T-cell lymphoma and leukaemia ❤️
