Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.Over the month of March, I've been doing 50km to raise funds that will help to support patients and families at Alder Hey Children's Hospital. I've been walking, running, cycling, swimming and skiing; and I'm almost there!
The money raised from my challenge will support Alder Hey's MediCinema Appeal, which is raising funds to support the installation and running costs of a state-of-the-art cinema in the hospital!!!
The cinema will provide patients, along with their family and friends, the opportunity for respite from the worries of hospital life and give long-term patients the opportunity to experience an activity that they miss out on whilst they are in hospital.
Just over 2 years ago, I was suddenly unable to talk or walk and lost the use of my hands too. I had a big infection in my brain and was rushed to Alder Hey Children's Hospital. I was very ill and needed life saving brain surgery.
Last weekend I completed my Park Run half marathon and this week I am in France skiing for the first time since being so poorly!
I really want to help other children like me to have a better experience when in hospital.
I'd be so grateful if you'd consider sponsoring me, so I can reach my goal of £150.
Thank you, from Jessie 😊✌️
