On June 15th I am taking part in Race the Sun challenge event raising funds for Action Medical Research!

Action Medical Research provide vital research to help babies, children and young people. They have helped beat polio and fight meningitis as well as tested the early rubella vaccine. They also have helped prevent still births and developed ultrasound scanning in pregnancy. They work with some fantastic organisations to continue to develop ground breaking research! As one of the first charities I fundraised for in my direct sales day, their cause and the impact they have created on today’s society has always stuck with me!

Our challenge!

Starting at Sun Rise, we will set off to Race the Sun on what feels like a very daunting challenge!! We will be heading out of Bannau for a 36 mile bike ride (I am already dreading those hills 🙈) then it's time to tackle the 9.6 miles circular hike to the summit of Pen Y Fan, which has an altitude of 886m before navigate a 2-mile journey around the Pontsticill Reservoir!

Our team of four are looking to raise £1,900 + for Action Medical Research. Your support will not only help encourage us on this mammoth challenge but will will help fund groundbreaking research across the UK. Research that could unlock answers for new treatments, cures and medical breakthroughs. Breakthrough's that really can save and change the lives of sick and vulnerable children.
