We fund specialist equipment to improve the lives of disabled children

Story

Hiya!

Here's a bit about why I'm running the marathon next year...

My cousins needed to use the amazing services that Newlife can provide when they were younger. It had a huge, positive impact on their lives and on their parents' lives.

Then, my grandad passed away... and instead of flowers, he requested that anyone wishing to make a contribution to his funeral do so by making a donation to Newlife. He wanted to help others the same way they had helped our family and it really inspired me.

It got me to thinking about what I could do to help others have a vastly improved life, just like my own family had experienced. No one should have to suffer a 'lesser' life just because they can't afford something that could help them live life to the full. And sadly our public services can't always provide the equipment a child needs, just to experience or live life as normally as possible.

So, here I am, running the marathon!

I'm by no means a runner - I promise you that this will not be enjoyable! But I hope you can all see how serious I am about this by doing something that's a huge challenge to raise money to help as many children as I/we can.

Of course, all charities are worthy causes, but I hope you can take the time to look at Newlife's website, read about what they do and how they do it and make a donation here on my just giving page.

I have to raise the amount I've set out above else I sadly won't be able to take part. Please, please help me get there!

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page and for any donations you make - I am so so grateful.
