What:- I will be volunteering in Tanzania for 2 and a half months with Raleigh International from June-August

Where:- We will be based in remote villages in Tanzania where there is a lack of basic facilities

I applied to the International Citizen Service and was lucky enough to be chosen for their Tanzania programme. In June I will be leaving for Tanzania to help tackle key issues of health and sanitation but I need your help first! 

The Raleigh ICS programme is 90% funded by the Government and 10% is funded by donations therefore as part of the programme I will need to raise £800 before I leave. 

The rural villages that we will be visiting are areas where sanitation units and clean water is very rare and many are uneducated about the health risks they face. Diarrhoeal disease is the second leading cause of death in children under 5. It is both preventable and treatable. Globally there are nearly 1.7 billion cases of diarrhoeal disease every year. Whilst in Tanzania we will be running sanitation sessions on the importance of hand washing, installing 'tippy taps', ensuring clean water supplies and a sustainable future for these communities. 

All of the money raised will go straight to the programme to help the communities in Tanzania so please help me raise money for this amazing cause!
