For 20 years, Streetwise Opera have endeavoured to bring people together who have experienced homelessness, to rebuild their self-esteem and reconnect with their  community using creativity, music and singing as a tool to empower and inspire. 

Streetwise Opera has always believed that opera and the arts are for everyone and anyone, and through their work we can give some of the most marginalised people in society a voice and a platform to feel seen and heard.

Since joining the team as General Manager in  February  2022, I have had the  privilege  of meeting our performers, hearing their stories and witnessing the  transformational  impact our work has. It has only cemented my belief in the many mental / physical benefits of the performing arts and how they should be accessible to all.

Like many other charities, we are in a hugely challenging fundraising climate. As such, on Friday 10th March I am going to be walking 26.2 miles through the night alongside some of my wonderful colleagues.

It would mean so much to me to have your support, however large or small, and every penny will go towards ensuring Streetwise Opera can continue it's transformative work.

Collectively, the group shares ideas, experience, and opportunities, and work together to ensure that nobody is left behind.On Friday 10th March the sector is coming together with one aim - to fight homelessness in our capital. Aiming to raise £250,000 to support much needed services over one fantastic night.
