Hi everyone! After taking part in maybe one of the last half marathons before COVID hit, I'm back running again! This time a full marathon, but I'm still fundraising for StreetDoctors, as we continue to teach young people at risk of youth violence. 

As some people know, I will be graduating this summer and moving away from Birmingham, and sadly leaving StreetDoctors Birmingham behind after 5 years of amazing work - as a volunteer, as a committee member, and as team lead this year. I have seen first hand the impact our sessions have on young people and have been so proud to help restart in-person delivery in the West Midlands after having to move all of our teaching online. Meeting so many fantastic young people, and the staff who work with them has been an invaluable experience and I want to be able to leave something behind to show how grateful I am to this fantastic organisation, and help teaching continue for the young people who need it most.

That's why this year I am raising money for the Babacar Diagne Fund - this was established by the StreetDoctors Birmingham and Warwick teams in memory of Babacar Diagne, a 15 year old boy who was tragically murdered by strangers in the West Midlands, in February 2020. Every donation towards the fund enables grassroots organisations in the West Midlands to get StreetDoctors sessions, for free. We have already delivered 10 sessions in local schools to over 150 young people, and I hope this is only the beginning, with your generous donations!
