We are here to fight for mental health to improve wellbeing in Cornwall.

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.

Mental Health Awareness Week takes place from 18-24 May with the topic of kindness. Why kindness?
One thing that we have seen all over the world is that kindness is prevailing in uncertain times. We have learnt that amid the fear, there is also community, support and hope. The added benefit of helping others is that it is good for our own mental health and wellbeing. It can help reduce stress and improve your emotional wellbeing.
Please get involved with Mental Health Awareness Week. Join in with us! We want to get Cornwall talking about kindness and mental health.

So... the mini Chappell’s - Joe, Emmie and Thomas - have set themselves a ‘J.E.T. Set Go’ 50k running challenge starting on Monday 18th May as their act of kindness during Mental Health Awareness week! This works out to about 17k that each of them will run over 5 days but knowing our children, it’s bound to get competitive!

All of us are worried about coronavirus and how it will affect us and those we love. There is a growing concern surrounding the mental health impact of the current situation and we need your help right now. Cornwall Mind, your local mental health charity, is still here to support you and to make sure everyone experiencing a mental health problem gets support and respect.  We are an independently funded local charity and Mind do not fund us to run our day to day services. All our planned fundraising events are cancelled. All money we receive stays in Cornwall.

Please help us reach more people feeling trapped, isolated and alone. Please support us if you can, however you can. Your donation could give someone hope and help them know they’re not alone.
Thank you, so very much. Stay safe.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving - they'll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they'll send your money directly to the charity. So it's the most efficient way to donate - saving time and cutting costs for the charity.
