Virgin London Marathon 2013 · 21 April 2013 ·

For over 40 years Phyllis Tuckwell has been supporting and caring for patients and families who have been given the worst possible news in West Surrey & North East Hampshire. We rely on the support of our community as we have to raise over £25,000 every day to continue our amazing services.

Story

As a few of you know back in 2010 I broke myself to run the London marathon in honour of Philippa Bigham. Unfortunately she passed away far too early after being taken by Non-Hodgkins Lymphoma. She was younger than most of you who are reading this now.

I vowed to do my best to help raise any money to battle this disease and because of your generosity I raised £1300 for the Leukemia Care Trust.

This year I am repeating this task to help raise money for Phyllis Tuckwell Hospice. After being diagnosed as a terminal case, Philippa was looked after by these hard working people to an outstanding level of care and attention, even accommodating her marriage to her partner before passing.

Me running the marathon, all the training, the aches, pains and breaks I have to go through isn't a shadow on the hardship that Philippa went through, also not a scratch on what the hard working staff do on a daily basis for people of all ages, gender, colour or creed.

Please donate what you can, no donation is too big or too small for this fantastic cause, share this page with as many people as you can and help raise money for this amazing charity.

Thanks so much! Much love to you all
