100km for Head for change · 1 October 2022

Our goal is to create a safe space for our sporting heroes, past, present and future that suffer from sports-related brain injuries and connect with the best brains in science and research to make positive change.

Story

After the success of my last fundraising challenge I thought it seemed fitting to get back going again. Fundraising this time for Mantality and Head for Change. I will be completing a 100km ultra run and below is why I have picked these two organisations.

Mantality are creating a movement where men can be vulnerable, address our mental health and then take up the responsibility to do something about it, to go find meaning and purpose within our lives. Funds raised will go to immediate psychological support for those who need it most.

headforchange is a start up charitable foundation, pioneering positive change for brain health in sport and supporting ex-players who are affected by neurodegenerative disease as a result of their professional sporting career in football or rugby. I’m sure we will have all seen recently the awful stories of ex/current professionals with early onset of dementia and daily concussion symptoms.
