Hello,

My name is Jack and I am 8 years old from North Devon. I have been fundraising since I was 5 and have raised £7500 for charity. I recently became an ambassador for The Tony Hudgell Foundation (www.tonyhudgellfoundation.org) who provide grants and support for children who have been physically, emotionally, psychologically abused. In this year we have been able to provide adapted car seats, specially made beds, adapted trikes, a holiday for a family where grandparents have taken on the children after being abused by their birth parent’s, iPad’s and equipment for a children’s hospital – these are to name a few.

My reason for choosing the Tony Hudgell Foundation is because I believe that all children deserve a smile. No child should suffer and I hope my donations can help change that. I met Tony Hudgell in October 2021 when I was honored with a British Citizen Award at The Palace of Westminster – after I came home I talked lots to my Mummy about why Tony didn’t have legs and was in a wheelchair, when she told me it was because his Mummy and Daddy had hurt him as a baby this is what spurred me on to help.

My fundraising attempts have included 100Km run over 100 days in the winter, 50km walking when I was 5 and most recently a mini 10 tors on Dartmoor.

I have been asked to open up Lynton and Lynmouth Railway for their 2023 season and I can confirm there will be a very fun challenge happening on the day. Alongside this I shall be running a raffle and thanks to the North Devon community and businesses we have some amazing prizes up for grabs. For every £1 donated you will get one raffle place.
