Story
Welcome to my page..
For those who know me, you will know that I am not a runner.. so doing the marathon will be the biggest challenge I have ever undertaken.
That said.. this will be nothing comapred to the challenges that my daughter & many others have faced when diagnosed.
The reason I have chosen CLIC is simple, they supported us through the awful times when our daughter was first diagnosed with a rare cancerous tumour when she was just 12 months old.
Our CLIC social worker Ruth was amazing, she sorted all manner of things from making sure we got the financial support we were eligible for, to emotional support & counselling.
We were also offered the opportunity to stay at one of the CLIC homes from home. A safe environment for children & their families to have a normal time in what clearly is anything but a normal time.
However, the charity does so much more than that.
For example they produce books to help siblings understand what cancer is & what will happen.
I will always be so grateful to CLIC for everything they have done for us & continue to do, for so many families.
As you can see from my picture, Jessica is doing well and continues to be disease free.
I appreciate you reading my story & thank you for any donation you make.
Thank you xxx
