Story
A few years ago, I ran two marathons and vowed never again. And then lockdown happened and charities got hit harder than ever. During lockdown, I've been working as hard as I can to get fitter than ever so when the opportunity came for me to run the London Marathon without having to go to London for an amazing charity, it felt like an opportunity too good to refuse. I trained in heat waves, I trained in the snow and I trained in the wind and then 5 weeks before the big day I took my child to the park and my calf went pop on a bouncy castle.
To say I was devestated was an understatement but I did what every good runner does and told everyone about how sad I was and then did what most runners don't do and listended to the advice given- rested, strengthened and finally got back to it. And now I feel more motivated than ever.
However virtual is definitely very different from a real life event and I'll need your support more than ever, as will this amazing charity....
