It was established in 1893 to help the stray and unwanted dogs roaming the streets of Manchester. Later covering parts of Lancashire, Cheshire and Derbyshire, today it remains the only Home of its kind, caring for over 3000 dogs each year. Over 95% of dogs are Homed or re-Homed

I'd like to thank everyone who has so far donated to Manchester dogs home in memory of my mum. It really means a lot to me and my family and I know mum would be grateful. Kim x

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

On 30th March 2012 my wonderful, amazing, strong mum, Jill Lee passed away. In March 2011 she was diagnosed with bowel cancer, and for the past 12 months has undergone treatment to fight the disease. Unfortuantly, my mum lost her battle and passed away with her family at the family home.

For all those that would like to, we would really appreciate donations to Manchester Dogs home, rather than flowers. Those who knew my mum, will know that she adored animals and Manchester dogs home is a place close to her heart as the girls (Molly and Tara) were from there.
