Since I was a little girl, I dreamed of owning my own pony. I achieved that dream when I was 45 & became a happy hacker.  Owning Zanique proved to be a lifeline, helping me through a sad time as my marriage broke down.

Now I am pushing myself way, way outside of my comfort zone and competing in my first ever One Day Event. To put this into context before we started this challenge, I had never competed in any jumping competition, and had only done one dressage test.

I'm doing all of this to raise money for Hannah’s Willberry Wonder Pony Charity. A charity formed to celebrate the life  of young eventer Hannah Francis, taken too soon.

The charity aims to support vital research into osteosarcoma and to grant equine related wishes to seriously ill people and their families.
