The Myton Hospices - Cycle Challenge 2023 · 6 August 2023 ·

This will help ensure The Myton Hospices can continue to provide its services free of charge to people with a terminal or life limiting illness, and their families, when they need us most.

Story

It's been a few months now and I still occasionally get jolted when I remember Frase is no longer with us. He truly was an amazing bloke we were lucky to have known… with a dark, mischievous and brilliant sense of fun.

I set a target of £500 thinking it was ambitious when a lot of people give to charity anyway. But with just a few weeks to go until the ride I'm now more than half way there!

Thanks so much to everyone who has donated so far. Frase would have been chuffed. For those who haven't or forgot, there's still time to remember Fraser and help other people and their families whose final days are made beautiful by the incredible people at Myton Hospices in Coventry and Warwickshire.

The charity needs to raise £10.5 million of its £13.25 million annual operating costs through fundraising, so if there was ever a time to say thanks for the laughs then it's now.

Here's what we've funded so far…

£25 – the daily upkeep cost of relatives accommodation

£50 – two hours of specialist nursing care

£80 – a child to attend five bereavement counselling sessions

£106 – covers the cost of one Myton at Home visit
