Railway Children has a vision of a world in which no child is lost to the streets. Across the UK, India and Tanzania, our networks provide an opportunity for us to reach children who are alone and vulnerable before they come to serious harm. Together, we’re determined we’ll leave no child behind.

Story

I was diagnosed with diabetes back in March 2022 which being as I weighed 23 stone was hardly a big shock but it was enough to motivate me to lose weight and get fit so I bought myself and electric bike in June 22 and started to use it to commute and do leisure rides covering some 2500 miles in 10 months, in the process I lost 6 stone and when it come time to replace the bike I decided to distance the electric assist and go ‘Jim powered’ which opened ip my horizons as I don’t need to stop after 30 miles to recharge!

I now regularly cover between 25-50 miles on leisure rides and have done a 70 mile ride from crewe to llandudno too, I’ve put a bit of weight back on recently so need to get back into it on the turbo trainer over the winter before getting back out in the spring before this challenge in July

So please give what you can for the railway children charity
