Story
In the UK, it’s estimated that over 100,000 children and young people are homeless.
The true number is likely to be even higher. These children find themselves on the streets through a variety of reasons such as parental conflict, Abuse and neglect or Domestic Violence.
Therefore I am sleeping out on the 21st November to support Depaul UK.
Depaul UK is a youth homeless charity, dealing with homeless & vulnerable young people aged 16-25.
Every person they help has a unique situation and a unique set of needs, so we focus on the individual and offer tailored support.
Depaul have an emergency service called Nightstop, running in around 35 sites around the country, to help keep young people off the streets.
Each young person coming in to their services will get their own Progression Coach to work alongside to empower them to continue or return to education, help them in to training & employment through their Steps to Success programme & eventually to live independently.
Therefore anything you can give will be invaluable to the charity and in helping these young people who are so much in need.
