Story
Ibstock PLC is proud to be supporting Shelter. We're working with them to raise awareness and vital funds to support people who are experiencing homelessness and bad housing. A home is a fundamental human need and a basic moral right, as vital as education or healthcare. But in Britain today, that right is being denied to millions of people whose lives are blighted by homelessness, bad conditions, soaring rents, discrimination and the threat of eviction. As 4,750 people sleep on the streets on any given night and 90,000 households are stuck in unsuitable temporary accommodation, such as homeless hostels, we believe we must contribute to the solution through our products, skills and fundraising. Help us reach our target of £50,000 in our first year to make a difference to the lives of homeless people and those at risk of homelessness.
About the event
The Ibstock Charity Sleep-Out isn’t about what it’s like to be homeless. After all, sleeping out for just one night in a controlled environment could never replicate what it’s really like to be sleeping rough on the streets every night. The Ibstock Charity Sleep-Out is about raising awareness around the increasing amount of men, women and children experiencing homelessness in all its forms, and about raising funds so that Shelter can do more. The money we raise for this event will go directly to Shelter and will form part of our annual group target of £50,000. Anything you can give will be gratefully received.
Thank you very much for your support!
