I've worked at my current place of work for over 16 years and I've always wanted to walk to work and back, so I'm going to do it, and try to raise money for Children In Need while I'm at it.  I'll leave my house in Urmston, Greater Manchester at around 5:00am on 13th November to get to work (near Birchwood, in Warrington) in time, and I'll probably end up home again at around 9:00pm.  In between I'll be doing a normal day's work, which will involve tutorials, lecturing, admin and the usual stuff I do every day.  It is worth bearing in mind that I'm not a particularly fit person, so this will be a bit of a challenge for me.  Please sponsor me.
