Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

On the 14th may 2011 the Finnerty family will be holding a Fundraising Event in Memory of Joe Finnerty. To coincide with this event I aim to raise £400 towards the total by doing something that I vowed I would never do ........ (well again anyway)

When Blues first came up to the Premier League I had a bet with Joe, based around the 1st derby. The loser of the bet would have to wear the shirt of their rivals. Thanks to Mr Enckleman I ended up wearing that horribly blue shirt!

In memory of Joe and in particular this bet, if this page reaches its target of £400 before May14th 2011 I will wear a Blues Shirt again in public and allow pictures to be taken (and tagged on facebook Pat). To go one step further if the target is doubled to £800 I will stand up at the event on the 14th May and sing Keep Right On from start to finish infront of everyone!

Villa Fans do not worry I am not crossing to the dark side, and I know it will be hard seeing one of your own wearing the darker shade of Blue, but I hope you will see I am having a bit of fun for a worthwhile cause which is close to our family's hearts, so please also contribute to the donations.

Blues Fans dig deep and have some fun at my expense.

Legal Disclaimer: Jim McGettrick would like to go on record saying that he wasn't, isn't, and never will be a fan of Birmingham City FC. Any actions carried out as a consequence of this event are entirely focussed on fundraising for Cancer Research UK, and should in no way Dishonour the proud McGettrick name.

If the target is not reached all donations will stand but Jim will not have to do the forfeit.
