Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

During 2013 I am running a year long appeal to raise funds for Cancer Research UK.  There will be a number of events during the year and you can find out more and follow the progress of the appeal at the appeal website www.jimmysfootsteps.co.uk.  At the heart of the appeaI was  a personal challenge event to walk or cycle the length of the country from Fife in Scotland to Deal in Kent which was successfully completed at the end of July.  This walk was originally undertaken in 1933 by my grandfather, Jimmy, who left his home in search of work.  Jimmy's courage, determination and desire to support others is my inspiration.  Over the past two years, my  six year old granddaughter Belle, Jimmy's great, great granddaughter, has been fighting her own battle against Neuroblastoma, a rare and very aggressive childhood cancer. Jimmy and Belle share a great fighting spirit, huge courage and heart and this appeal is a celebration of them both.
