The Light The Lakes event sees teams of police officers, staff, retired officers and police friends light up the famous Wainwright fells of Cumbria in memory of colleagues killed.

Story

Care of Police Survivors (otherwise known as COPS) is a UK registered charity dedicated to helping the families of police officers who have lost their lives whilst on duty. We aim to ensure that survivors have all the help they need to cope with such a tragedy, and that they remain part of the police family as they rebuild their lives.

Patrick and Andy from the JIPH will be hiking up Scoat Fell to join hundreds of other hikers on peaks around the Lake District to light blue beacons at 0300 hours on Saturday 22nd June in memory of fallen police officers and to support the loved ones that are left behind.
