In the township of Port Elizabeth, the chances of students progressing beyond township education lie at 3%. Yet, if they are given scholarships, funded through United Through Sport, and they join a successful secondary school, their chances in life and for graduation to further education and university raise to 97%. With your money, we can change the lives of those of the PE township. Over the October half term 34 children and staff will be visiting the township and meeting those affected. Before our departure we are attempting to cycle the width of South Africa in 5 1/2 hours. Divided up that leaves us with about 50km each.
