Story
James was diagnosed with a rare, life threatening immune disorder when he was 5 years old. This required a bone marrow transplant and a long stay, largely in isolation, at Great Ormond Street Hospital. Despite putting up a huge battle , James passed away on 12 June 2016, aged just 7.James loved life - he loved football, golf, lego and his cats. Most of all he loved people. He was kind and loving and this charity will honour James' memory by helping as many other young people as we can - funding opportunities they would not otherwise have.
So we're depriving ourselves of a night's sleep and giving ourselves blistered feet because JJOG is specifically fundraising to provide a summer school for Ukrainian children to learn English. This will enable these refugee children to settle in more quickly and make a much better start at local schools in the Epsom and Ewell area come September.
We'd been looking for something we could do to support the shattered lives of Ukrainian families and now we've set ourselves this challenge. Please do your bit by sponsoring us. Many thanks.
