I’m running my first GNR this year, and I’ve been fortunate enough to find a cause close to my heart. 

The Clarke Lister Feel Good Centre, formerly Earl House on Seaham’s Station Road, has provided a place for the local community, often those of older generations, to meet and socialise, and even eat for many years. My late Nana used to visit here regularly, and, while she loved to ‘share her opinion’ of her visits (as Nana’s do), it probably kept her sane in later years! 

It continues to provide for the local community but has undergone extensive renovation, of which the next stage is a fitness suite for rehabilitation or those with specific needs who cannot access to conventional gyms. 

It’s a fantastic cause and I look forward to working with Carole and her team to achieve their goal!
