Time for another challenge..

It’s been (an eventful) 3 years since my last serious outing on a bike, when we cycled the length of the UK on a 3 wheel bike for charity. So when my “overweight, unfit” (his words) Dad suggested cycling the length of Ireland for Marie Curie, I thought it was about time to dust the bike off and put it to good use again. And here we are. 

The 445 mile journey will take us approximately 6.5 days, with the longest day being 85 miles. As Alex and Rob, my companions on the last challenge will testify, the hardest part of these challenges is getting back on the bike at the start of each day. So why am I putting myself through this again? 

Well, simply put, Marie Curie do amazing work. Through our national charity partnership at work, and through family, I’ve heard countless stories of the care and support they offer people in the toughest of circumstances. So anything you can spare would be greatly appreciated and help them to continue helping even more people.
