Arcobaleno Cancer Trust was founded in 2017 by cousins and friends of the Carnevale family and serves in memory of our loved ones - Bruna, Dino, Sebastian and Giovanni. Our aim is to support the advancement of medical research into the causes, treatments and cures for cancer.

UPDATE:

Two years later than initially planned, I will be running the Brighton Marathon on Sunday April 10th this year!

2020:

Having spent the past ten years occasionally jogging around the block in a bid to try and offset the effects of what might kindly be described as a healthy appetite, I finally decided to set my sights on a slightly more challenging goal.

So it is that on the 19th of April this year, I will be attempting to run my first (and quite possibly last) full marathon, down on the South Coast in sunny Brighton.

In setting myself this goal I decided I would like to try and raise some money for the Arcobaleno Cancer Trust, a wonderful family run charity whose aim is to support the advancement of medical research into the causes, treatments and potential cures for all types of cancer.

The charity evolved from an annual ‘Race Night’ fundraising event held every year since 2013. I’ve had the pleasure of attending a number of these evenings over the years and have always been amazed by the level of hard work and dedication that goes in to making each and every event truly memorable. If you would like to learn more about the story behind the Arcobaleno Cancer Trust or the work that they do then please visit www.arcobalenocancertrust.com.

Cancer is something that will affect all of us at some point during our lives, either directly or through a loved one. In setting myself this goal I hope to make my own small contribution towards funding the kind of vital research that enables more effective prevention and treatment of cancer and that might one day lead to a cure.

Thank you for your support.

James.
