I lost my mum to cancer and I was planning to do something major but then Covid hit cancelling all plans.... For those who knew her knew what an amazing force of nature she was. She worked for the NHS for over 30 years including many years at Macclesfield Hospital. 

My mum said things have a habit of happening in three's so I decided to partake in 3 epic events which I have always wanted to do to push myself to the limit and ideally raise lots of money in the process for Cancer Research. Imaginatively I am calling this the JM Fundraising Trilogy and the events are:

1) 26/09/2021 - IRONMAN 70.3 Bolton - COMPLETED IN 5hrs 43mins

Triathlon consisting of: 

The "70.3" refers to the total distance in miles (113.0 km) covered in the race, consisting of a 1.2-mile (1.9 km) swim, a 56-mile (90 km) bike ride, and a 13.1-mile (21.1 km) run.

2) 03/07/2022 - IRONMAN UK Bolton - COMPLETED IN 12hrs 47mins finishing 269th out of the 1554 who finished the race and the over 2200 who started.

3) 10/09/2022 - Deliotte Ride Across Britain - COMPLETED IN 9 DAYS!!

Across 9 epic days, Deloitte Ride Across Britain covers 970 miles of the most beautiful and scenic landscapes accessible on two wheels. We think there is no better way to travel from Land’s End to John O’Groats!

07/11/2021 Tatton Half Marathon - 1hr 25mins 33secs - Placed 27th out of 761 people

05/12/2021 Heaton Park Half Marathon - 1hr 24mins 38secs - Placed 8th out of 205 people 

As you have probably heard cancer affects one in every two people so there is no more a relevant cause than this so I appreciate any donations.

2022 is going to be a BIG ONE!
