Hi Everyone,

We have decided as part of this year's annual football match to raise money for the Connor Saunders Foundation.

As many of you know, Connor tragically and suddenly passed away in 2012, an event that devastated his family and hit the local community hard.  It struck us especially hard as we knew Connor personally, we'd grown up together, played football together and our families had spent time together - so to suddenly lose him was a profound loss to us all.

Connor passed away aged only 19.  At 16, unbeknown to his parents, he signed the donation register, an act that ultimately saved the lives of five transplant patients.  This selfless act alone embodies the kind, gentle and brave young man Connor was.

Since his passing, Connor's family and friends have worked tirelessly to raise funds to buy and distribute defibrillators to schools, football clubs and businesses across the area as well as providing football coaching for children with learning difficulties; we are raising as much money as possible for the community whilst keeping Connor's memory and spirit alive.

The Foundation, set up in Connor's name, is focusd on giving back to the community and highlighting your own actions, how one punch or act of violence can change your life, and those around you, forever.  This spotlight on considering our actions aims to carry onhis legacy and hopefully one day may even save a young life.

The Connor Saunders Foundation are now also working in partnership with the Rockinghorse Children's Charity - So any money raised will help them both a great deal.

Please come along and support us. It will be free entry, food and drink will be available. Plus there will be some activities for the kids to keep them occupied!!
