We are running to both give back to the charities that have supported us over the last 7 years, but also in the hope of building a better future for those unlucky enough to experience infertility, baby loss, and sexual abuse. This is why we are running in aid of both Cambridge Rape Crisis Centre (CRCC) and Tommy's. We are massively grateful to both charities and would love for donations to be balanced between the two!

After 7 years of trying, 5 pregnancy losses, 3 full rounds of IVF and one frozen cycle, over 40 eggs collected, 6 embryos transferred, a lot of injections, lots of stress, grief and sadness we lost our last pregnancy in September. Our baby would have been due in April, so to mark this we are running a marathon.

1 in 4 women have been raped or sexually assaulted as an adult. 1 in 4 pregnancies end in loss. Heartbreaking statistics that we really want to change.

Tommy's fund vital research into miscarriage, stillbirth and premature birth and support families through loss with the aim of saving babies lives. Cambridge Rape Crisis Centre supports women who have experienced sexual violence with the ultimate goal of ending rape and sexual violence.

What we both hope for more than anything is that other people don't have to go through what we have been through, and a world where more babies lives are saved with and end to sexual violence sounds like its worth running a long way for!
