The Brain Tumour Charity is the world’s leading brain tumour charity and the largest dedicated funder of research into brain tumours globally. Committed to saving and improving lives, we’re moving further and faster to help every single person affected by a brain tumour. A cure really can’t wait

Story

Thanks for visiting our JustGiving page, from Jo Moody and Mat Morgan. We are taking on the South Tyne Trail, a 25-mile walk (including getting to the source) along the upper reaches of the River Tyne, usually a 2-day hike but we will do it in one day - and keep fingers crossed for good weather!

We have been inspired to raise money for The Brain Tumour Charity by our friend Rachel. Rach was diagnosed with a brain tumour around two years ago and has been receiving treatment since then, benefiting from previous research and the great work of the NHS. She has remained positive throughout, shared the experience in a thoughtful and entertaining blog and been an inspiration to friends and family, including her two young kids. Tragically this is not the first time the condition has affected Rach and her family, as her brother Graeme died as a result of a brain tumour in 2006. The family and many friends were dedicated fundraisers for this great cause long before Rach was also diagnosed.
