We support the school by raising money to provide facilities, equipment and some “little extras” which will enhance your child’s/children’s educational experience. We also aim to build the school community by bringing together the staff, families, students and the community. And have some fun! Find out more about us at: www.simonballepsa.org.uk Our goals/achievements – we have supported the refurbishment of the school swimming pool, library, and lecture theatre, contributed to the outdoor classroom, nature pond and the Larch Centre (primary building) trim trail. These areas are used daily by all students and therefore every single child benefits from our work. We also cover the cost of one of the school minibuses. Our target in the next couple of years is, among other donations to the school, to help repair and modernise the school hall. How we work – We raise money through events such as our Quiz Nights, Ladies Pamper Nights, Primary’s Summer and Christmas Fairs, Raffles/Auctions, Recycled Uniform Sales, Fun Run and running a licensed bar at school music concerts and plays. We meet about once every half term at school in the evening and use WhatsApp and email communications a lot, at a time that suits us.

Story

I'm really proud to be a governor at Simon Balle All Through School. My role here has allowed me to see first hand the exceptional dedication and commitment that Simon Balle has, not just in helping its students achieve their best, but also in creating a sense of community. Simon Balle strives to make a difference to each student's education whilst also creating an environment where everyone is welcome.

I'm reminded of this every time I visit the school, whether that's in the everyday, polite manner of the students - who often help me find my way when I'm wandering around the grounds looking lost - to the annual spectacle that is "big band" where the students show off their extraordinary musical talents. I am constantly surprised and impressed by the students.

But we can always do more.

It's no secret that school funding is stretched. Simon Balle really believes in providing a broad curriculum and learning experience for its students, and fundraising is key to maintaining this ambition. Your donation will go towards our ongoing program to upgrade the school facilities and provide the best possible learning environment for our kids.

Every pound makes a difference, so please give generously rather than buy me another bottle of Prosecco - trust me, I have plenty!

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving - they'll never sell them on or send unwanted emails.
