On Sunday (8th May) myself, and my mum will be taking part in the Beaverbrooks Blackpool 10k Fun Run along with thousands of others. The event is in its 29th year and for 2011 the chosen charity is the Blue Skies Hospital Fund who are campaigning to fight against prostate cancer. Money raised will go towards a state-of-the-art Urology Department which is forming part of the new multi-million pound Surgical Unit, opening at Blackpool Victoria Hospital during the Summer of 2011.

Prostrate cancer affects many people each year. My grandpa unfortunately died from the disease and so I'm proud to be running for such a worthy cause. I hope you'll help us to raise lots of money, every penny counts!
